Special rates for the hcp2002 conference participants are also offered by the upper class Renaissance-Hotel (Single: Eur 70.-), Queens-Hotel (Single: Eur 92.50) and Schloss-Hotel (Single: Eur 85.-). However, rooms have to be booked directly at the selected hotel before August 9, 2002.

8. Excursion Program

On Wednesday afternoon two excursions will be offered which can be booked together with the online registration but have to be paid separately.

  • Visit of the medieval castle of Heidelberg, a romantic stroll through the old city, and a boat trip on the idyllic Neckar river.

  • Visit of the most significant Romanesque edifices in Germany the imperial Cathedral of Speyer, burial church of Salian Emporers. In 1980 the cathedral was added to the UNESCO World Heritage program. The tour continues through the seasonal colored wine area of Palatinate with a wine tasting.
